Yesterday Warren, Julie, Lisa and Warren (Ozzy) came to lunch, which was a buffet affair. I first met Warren when I attended a séance on March 24th 2006. Since then I have attended many of his séances, usually with Ozzy present, and have more recently met Julie and her sister Lisa. Yesterday was the first time they have been to my home and their visit was most welcomed.

Warren had hurt his foot that morning and by the time he had driven from Birmingham to my home in Bristol at 1.30pm his foot was clearly discoloured by bruising and was swollen and extremely painful. After applications of ice, whilst he ate some lunch, it was decided that Ozzy would drive Warren to the local A&E dept for an X-ray and treatment as required.

In fact this resulted in Julie staying at Southmead Hospital with Warren whilst Lisa and Ozzy went ahead to the Freespirit Centre to set up the cabinet ready for the evening’s séance. Bernie met them at the Centre and before very long Ozzy was called to collect Warren and Julie back from the hospital. I re-joined them and we all went along to the Centre.

Upon arrival at the Centre I saw that the CD player and a cassette tape recorder had been placed beside the cabinet. Alongside these was a red light and a white-painted box, which holds a white light. Several toys were laying on the floor nearby, such as the spirit people like to play with. Ozzy was to control the CD player for the first time that evening, so he was to sit beside the cabinet. Julie and Bernie (of the Freespirit Centre) sat on the other side during the séance.

As sitters arrived they were asked to leave their jewellery, mobile phones and money outside the séance room as is the custom for physical seances. We were then searched and guided to our seats. Warren, Julie and Ozzy were themselves searched by volunteer sitters.

Ozzy then tied Warren into the chair using rope for his waist and legs. Cable ties secured his arms to the chair. Volunteers were requested to check all ties, and to search the cabinet also. Finally a gag was tied and a pillow case slipped over his head. Ozzy then removed the centre light bulbs and sealed in the blackout. We were seated for a short period in red light conditions before the prayer was offered by Ozzy and we were asked to sit in silence for the first two songs. Before the first song began in fact there were audible sounds from within the cabinet. Further sounds occurred throughout this initial period before Tom (spirit child) came forward to communicate just as the second song ended.

Tom delighted the audience by enabling a fast-speeding display of trumpet spinning, tapping the trumpet on the ceiling and floor before again increasing the light display. Later Tom moved on to playing the slide-whistle, xylophone, drum and harmonica, often managing to play two such instruments at the same time.

As Tom departed Rachel came forward. She was in high spirits! She commented to Julie about the condition of Warren’s foot and said that the X-ray may make the ectoplasm more difficult to manipulate. She also chatted to many of the sitters by name and joked with me about my naming a pet chicken after her!

In fact the ectoplasm seemed unaffected by the X-ray. This was displayed clearly, under Rachel’s instruction several times during the evening. To start with it was seen, appearing like a fibrous mass, a little like glass fibre or muslin, falling from the Medium’s mouth, through the gag, down his body and legs and onto the floor. It was next displayed still running from the Medium’s mouth, but rolled into a ball, which rested on his knee. Later it was seen as a long line glowing upon the floor, seemingly disconnected from the Medium. It was also seen to be trailed and dangled by Yellow Feather as we walked around the room.

Yellow Feather came forward to communicate and also to materialise. Both red light and white light was used for this to be displayed. He was clearly seen and heard by all those present. Not just once, but many times. Coming forward from the cabinet area and walking with confidence across and around the room. He was stamping his foot and jumping. Each action was clearly witnessed by the 30 plus people seated in the room.

Albert also came forward to communicate and was seen to materialise for a short period of time. Albert is Warren Caylors grandfather.

Further to these displays of phenomena several sitters had shoes or socks removed. Sweets were opened and scattered.

The CD player was commandeered by Rachel at one point. Ozzy being instructed to hold the two hands of the gentleman seated next to him in order to prove this feat.

Another sitter was asked to step forward to feel yellow Feather’s hand. This was described as being a masculine hand, with veins and knuckles clearly felt.

The whole séance was a mass of activity from start to finish! It is difficult to remember all that occurred!

When the evening was closed we were asked to sit quietly until Warren had fully recovered. As the red light was switched on we saw that Warren was in fact seated in his chair outside of the cabinet, within the circle. He was still fully tied. Only the pillow case had been removed. Warren was motionless for quite a long period, before suddenly jerking as his life forces took control. Ozzy then moved forward to untie the gag. He then opened the door and released the remaining ties before supporting Warren out of the room and into the fresh air.

Returning to the circle Ozzy offered the closing prayer before replacing the light bulbs and answering the many questions being put forward by fascinated sitters. Julie and Lisa moved to take the cabinet apart, ready for their journey home.
